Square Dance and Round Dance Clubs
In California and Nevada
Hints
-
The database includes about 200 clubs from Northern California
and the Reno, Nevada, area, and is intended to be comprehensive.
The database also includes about 200 clubs from the Southern
California and Las Vegas, Nevada area,
and while those entries are not intended to be
comprehensive, you can still search for clubs in those areas.
-
Searches are not case sensitive. los angeles will produce the
same results as Los Angeles.
-
It is better to include as little information as necessary to find
the club that interests you. Since all your words must be found in
the club listing, it
takes only one incorrect or misspelled word to ruin your search.
Start by specifying little information, then do another more
specific search if your first search returns too many entries.
-
You can specify a club name or part of a club name. If you're not
sure how to spell the club name, try entering only the part you
do know.
-
You can specify a caller name, day of week, city, or county.
-
You can enter class to find a club that sponsors a class.
Caveat: Some square dance classes that sponsor a class might not be
tagged as such, because the information is incomplete. If you can't
find a class in your area, try searching for clubs, and call one
of the clubs in your area.
This generally applies more to square dance clubs than to round
dance clubs, since round dance classes tend to be ongoing. Most
round dance classes are not tagged as such. It is not (yet) possible
to search for round dance classes by specific phase level.
-
You can enter handicapable, singles, family,
gay or youth
to find clubs of those kinds.
-
You can enter a level. The club levels are: Basic, Mainstream,
Plus, A1, A2, C1, C2, C3A, and C3. You can search for A1 or A2 together
by specifying Advanced. You can search for C1, C2, or C3 together
by specifying Challenge.
(You can search for other combinations of levels on the
Advanced Search
page.)
